Quantity Surveying

As an experienced Quantity Surveying Practice, Mantra Services provides clients with a full range of Quantity Surveying services and Commercial Support functions.

From the initial inception of a project, time, cost and risk are three of the key components which need to be fully considered and carefully managed throughout the pre-construction and delivery phases of any contract.

Pre-Construction

Within this phase of a project, we work with our clients to provide cost estimates and outline contract programmes to be used as the basis of their budgeting, cash flow and tender process.

As we provide Quantity Surveying services to Developers, Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Consultants, our capability working at all levels of the supply chain enables us to provide measured and experienced support to the procurement strategy, supplier selection and contractual engagement on a project.

Delivery

Within our Quantity Surveying Practice, the directors have over 60 years contract experience within the industry. This experience, knowledge and understanding of the management of projects enables us to work with our clients to develop robust processes to monitor the time, cost and risk elements of their contract.

As well as providing the traditional Quantity Surveying services for the construction phase of a project, we maintain the contract programme against the baseline and periodic progress. Furthermore, we also develop impacted programmes for consideration of any delays or potential mitigation through the variation or compensation event process.

The underpinning of the Quantity Surveying knowledge and experience elements of a project, with the contract programme capability, allows us to provide a clearer picture to our clients on the outturn time and cost position of their project throughout its lifecycle.

Risk Management

If you are entering into a Construction Contract, we can complete an initial review of any offered Conditions of Contract or Terms and Conditions to highlight and identify potential Contractual or Commercial risks to your business.

Once this review is complete, we then work with our clients to understand their own acceptable risk profile and develop a commercial risk register for their contract.

This risk register forms the basis for the commercial risk mitigation plan from the commencement of the project. It implemented with the required actions to either negotiate out, accept and pass on, or manage the identified risks.
